About
Bluedi is a brand created in Athens by Rania Spanou, housed in her workshop where she personally oversees the creation and production of the garments. This results in a small-scale production where each piece is cut and sewn to order, minimizing waste of fabric, materials, and energy.
The hallmark of the brand is comfort and honesty, striking a balance between athletic and formal styles within a minimalist framework. The clothes are designed to provide ease and comfort for everyday life, inspired by workwear and its characteristics. Thus, they serve as a foundation that can accommodate various styles and aesthetics.
Rania Spanou is an artist who studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts. She works in categories such as installation, environment, performance, video art, and photography.
The creation of clothing often occurs concurrently with her studies and her morning job. In her thesis, she symbolically, conceptually, and practically incorporated clothing, aiming to redefine and create connections between visual arts and fashion practice, with references to the human body.
